SOLEMNITY
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, UNIVERSAL KING
Jesus, the Lord of all creation cared so much for those in his domain, that he was willing to die, in order to care for them. Those who will finally belong to him, will be those who have shared his care for the hungry, the naked, the lost, the crippled and the strays of this world. |

THIRTY
THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
How often fear and anxiety prevent people from producing their best, from using their God-given talents to the full. In today's parable Jesus shows that a God who inspires fear may inspire little else. His image of God as a loving father inspires confidence and so enables us to develop what he has given us. |

SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The wisdom of God is given to us if we are open to seek it. Having received it, it teaches us to be always open, alert for the approach and the presence of God. With this wisdom Gods coming will not catch us unprepared to receive Him.

THIRTIETH
SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Mission Sunday
By its nature, the Church is missionary. Christ sent her to let her light shine to the whole human race. We cannot leave this task to the professionals. The prophets and the apostles were ordinary lay people when chosen to speak and act in Gods name. As the result of our baptism, each of us has a duty to work for the missions in our own special way and in our own particular place.

NINTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The enemies of Jesus try to put him on the horns of a dilemma. Would he offend the Roman occupiers or the sensitive Jewish nationalism. Jesus rises above the situation by reminding them, that God is the supreme authority but yet we all have duties to the civic society in which we live. |

EMIGRANT SUNDAY
God promised his people a future of great blessings where death and mourning would be no more. Christ came to issue Gods final invitation to this future. Some rejected it, others accepted it but then made light of it. What have we done with our invitation?

SEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
DAY FOR LIFE
God cares for his people with great love, he gives them many blessings. We belong to His people, but we must remember that we cannot presume upon God's love and patience - we are expected to produce the fruit of what we have received. |

SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
It takes at least two to make a friendship. God loves us, but there is no
relationship between him and us unless we return his love. In this
relationship there can be no pretence nor living on the past. Our response
to God must continue every day to be real, just as his love for us is a
daily reality.

FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Our human horizons are so limited! So often we calculate the cost of our generosity giving only to the DESERVING afraid that our goodness may be wasted. Our God is not limited. He takes the risk of his love being wasted and it is only because of such love that we can have hope.

FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
There are times when we may be angry with another and resentful. An important antidote to this is a proper appreciation of our own experience of forgiveness. Once we have received the healing forgiveness of God there should be no place for unforgiving or vengeful behaviour in our lives - that would be to destroy the very forgiveness we have

TENTH
SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Practicing our religion every Sunday can become superficial and can also lead to complacency. The antidote to this false religion is God's mercy-firstly the fact that we need it, secondly that we must offer it to others.

Sudden, unexpected death shocks and confuses us; it is all the more
bitter when it comes to someone whose life is full of promise. Such a
